Hi Jock,
I was a little lad back then, my dad Jim Rennie was a pet-op,he came from the R.A.S.C,we lived in Bond Avenue at the time, I think he was s/sgt or woll.I myself joined up as a vehicle specialist in 1978.

Hi Jock
I was posted there as a driver 72 - 75 ... Great bunch of lads, and one of my best postings. Dont know if you remember anyone on the MT ....
Don Strachan who use to run the place .... Stan, Doddy, Roy Packam ....

The platoon then was 180-BPOP . . . Part of 10 OSB, 48AMF Devises.

Have you tried the Pet Op's web site .... ? ? ?

Regards
Keith

Hi Jock
I wasn't so lucky when I got my posting order. I went to Germany and did two years with 27 Med Regt RA not a bad posting really, and at least they were real gunners. Then because I had PV I was posted to 12 AD Regt RA . . . They had just been refitted with Rapier Missile System . . . Air Defence. They use to use the old Bofours Guns . . . .
Not such a good posting loads of bull sh-t and duties. One of the two times I had my PVR form in my pending tray . . . .
