This year on the 15th May i am holding a charity concert in aid of the Lancashire veterans who raise money to send comfort parcel's to our forces in Afghanistan. Last year i did it for help for hero's.If anyone would like a ticket the cost are £5.00 but please be quick as tickets are selling fast.

There will be 5 acts on stage also raffles and auctions taking place during the evening.

Just a little update have got a signed authenticated shirt by Ronaldo also one by Rooney off Manchester United. Rory Underwood as sent me a signed print of himself in England/Leiceter/ Lions shirts, Also have a signed Robhinio picture from Manchester City and eight sporting Miscellany books by John White.
All are up for sale although the United shirts are upto £400 each.

All monies will go to the Lancashire Veterans Association to send comfort parcels to the troops in Afganistan.

Will keep you informed how we get on the charity night have got 5 artists and a ex regiment band should be a good night 15th May 2009.

Just to inform you all, the charity show i did for the Lancashire veterans Association to raise money to send comfort parcels to the service personnel in Afganistan. we raised £1750.00. Not bad i thought for a FIRST SHOW.

yes Mike but i have to say its not down to me that side of it Harry Mills who is on this site and his team of helpers send the parcels I just raise the monies. We have already had some leters back from EODs out there. Already planning the next one will keep all informed.

Good for you and Harry mate.

Well I send 6 parcels a month, and the shopping and packing them up is enough for me, and I know a few of the other members have sent parcels as well.

I have had a few BFPO Blueys back from the boys as well as e-mails from Wayne, and all say more or less the same thing, that Welfare/Comfort Parcels and contents are well received, and that they appreciate not being forgotten about.

I am looking to do a Christmas Special for the team that replaces Wayne's in late November.

Mike keep me informed we may be able to pool our resourses and send as many parcels as is possible at christmas. I remember all to well being away at christmas.
